The first releases of the A/W15 Collection take the form of two silk crepe de chine scarves each featuring a different original artwork created by the designer, through an artistic process that combines digital college and handcrafted mix media. Each scarf design is treated as a piece of art, based on the designer’s preference for creating objects of value over market saturation. As such, each scarf is only available in limited edition.

 DUXBURY A/W15 features two different artworks, Cactuscape and Ghosthand, each depicting a visually engaging, enigmatic landscape steeped in dark romance and surreality. Each scarf’s print brings together a range of imagistic subjects – from wildflowers to photographic prints to marble patterns – that weave in and around each other to create a stunningly perfect storm of juxtapositions. The scarves’ artwork is at once recognisable and foreign; the dramatic veil of a conjured princess; the swaddling of a spiritual traveller, the robe of a dreamer, or a bold and sumptuous statement on a sophisticated modern woman.

 A uniquely engineered mix of graphic patterning and colour gradient allows the scarves to take on a sculptural form when worn.  The large surface area of the scarves (which are larger than many other luxury scarves on the market) allows the owner indefinite versatility when it comes to styling on the body: the scarves are able to be wrapped, draped, tied, twisted, or folded, meaning they can be used as clothing or accessories. Alternately, DUXBURY scarves can be framed for a unique and striking piece of wall art.

Each of the DUXBURY scarfs comes luxuriously packaged, making them incredible options for gifts for art and fashion lovers. Each scarf’s packaging presentation is unique to its colour scheme: Ghosthand is enveloped in a black matte box wrapped in neoprene cord, whilst Cactuscape sits in a white matte box wrapped in oxblood waxed cotton cord.
